All You Need To Know
What is your late policy?
We understand things happen so we allow a grace period of 10 minutes each appointment. If you show up 10 minutes late, we will go forward with your appointment but we will likely not finish as the majority of our services require at least an hour to complete and you will have to reschedule to finish your appointment at a later date as to respect the time of all of our clients. If you show up more than 10 minutes late we will cancel your appointment and charge a late fee. If the appointment is rescheduled, this late fee is added as a credit on your invoice. If you give no notice and do not show up to your appointment you will be charged a no show fee.
What are the differences between an accountant, a CPA, and a bookkeeper?
Bookkeepers, accountants and certified public accountants (CPAs) all work with businesses' financial data. Bookkeepers record when a company receives, pays or owes money. Accountants provide more in-depth analysis than bookkeepers. A CPA or certified public accountant is an accountant with a state license.
How long should I keep my tax records?
Keep records for 3 years from the date you filed your original return or 2 years from the date you paid the tax, whichever is later, if you file a claim for credit or refund after you file your return. Keep records for 7 years if you file a claim for a loss from worthless securities or bad debt deduction
What are your service fees?
Because we offer personalized accounting services, fees vary depending on the complexity of the service we provide you, the forms we have to complete and the time we need to complete them. Please keep in mind we will not file your documents or taxes until the invoice has been paid in full regardless of federal or state deadlines. We also add late fees to invoices not paid on time that accumulate monthly.
What documents do I need to bring to my appointment?
Since we offer several different services, we ask that you reach out to us to request a list of documents needed specifically for the service you are scheduled for. All of our lists are available both in Spanish and English.
